I’m 22, in my final semester of college, and I have been single for a little over a year. I broke up with my boyfriend of almost 2 years because I felt the need to explore my options and live freely and quite honestly I was starting to feel suffocated and unappreciated in our relationship.

I spent the past year going on a bunch of dates and having sex with a lot of men (trying to “make up for lost time”) while this was fun at first, looking back on it I realize that about half of those experiences were either straight up not pleasurable or with someone who I did not even find all that attractive/interesting.

I was kept on someone’s hook for a few months as he insisted over and over that he was not ready for a relationship. 2 months after I ended things, he was posting on social media with his new girlfriend.

I have been sexually assaulted, emotionally manipulated, gaslit, objectified, and so, so much more. This year has given me enough experience in dating/sex/relationships to carry me into my late 20s and I’m not even out of college yet.

I discovered this sub in early November and have been trying to apply FDS ever since but it’s been slow going (the men on dating apps are especially low quality where I live and I’m not interested in college-aged men). After another negative experience with a man, I’ve decided that I’m done with dating for now. I’ve deleted all of my OLD apps and cut ties with any remaining matches from them.

I’m going to take the remainder of this semester and enjoy my friends, refine my skills, throw myself into my hobbies, secure a job for after graduation, and work on my fitness. I have one FWB (genuinely a friend) who I’ll hook up with sporadically when my libido inevitably gets the better of me (would much rather have him than some rando off OLD) but that’s all the male contact I will be seeking this semester up until I move to whichever new location I end up in after graduation.

Thanks for opening my eyes to my own self-worth and for not allowing myself to be mistreated by LVM and fuckbois any longer. Keep on being queens, I love you all.
