I was married for over 20 years, and have been single for 2. It’s been a wild ride and I feel like I’ve come pretty far, but also have a lot to learn. I’ve developed a greater sense of self and much more confidence in my day-to-day life and having a blast exploring my passions, but there are still these nagging bits of childhood upbringing that keep me from being telling a guy to buzz off when I need to. I’ve had some horrible experiences lately where I should have ended the dates early, but worried too much about being nice/not hurting feelings, instead of calling out guys for their poor behavior. I’d like to figure out specific strategies for weeding out matches before we go out in the first place, but in the event I miss something I want the confidence to be ruthless and not allow for compromise in my standards and expectations. Hopeful for some good advice, or reference reading/courses in these regards.
