can i ask why women shouldn't be the one to start the conversation or to initiate it?

I think women can start a conversation or initiate but NEVER chase a man or initiate more than them.

Why not?
[–]AnniaTFDS Disciple1 point2 points3 points (3 children) | Copy Link
Because I've rarely seen that work into a healthy and fulfilled relationship.

And how do you know that the cause of this is the girl chasing initially? Seems really insignificant to me

Because the dynamics was the woman chasing and the man laying back and not putting that much effort into it. Maybe it works for some but I personally never seen women chasing men and them putting effort back into the relationship.

But why would a man chasing the woman and the woman not putting much effort into it work instead?
[–]AnniaTFDS Disciple1 point2 points3 points (3 children) | Copy Link
Exactly, I'm tired of the myth/ excuse "oh, he's into me, he's just shy and won't make a move".
First, if he's not making moves he's just not into you, period. Second, even if he was interested but so crippling shy, do you really want a man like that for a healthy and committed relationship?

Or some people simply just experience shit in their lives and want to make a move but just can’t because of feeling ‘restrained’ by the past. The ‘experience’ doesn’t have to be relationship related in order to affect the individual, it can ‘simply’ be getting bullied in the past which affects them, and being ‘shy’ is just them not wanting to open up to people they don’t fully trust and have little to no reasons to do so.

I understand and can somehow relate sometimes but I don't want someone like that for a relationship and won't be pursuing people like that. Too much unbalanced work and effort for something that shouldn't be that hard.

I'm sure it happens sometimes and I obviously don't think it's ok to do. I just think it doesn't cross the average woman's mind to falsely accuse a guy who didn't do anything.
