So I've known my ex coworker for about a year. She left the company for another opportunity, a few months ago. We were friendly, I gave her a few rides to and from work (she was on the way, didn't go out of my way). Never really hung out with her outside of work. Fast forward to now. She invites me to her birthday dinner that's this weekend, two months ago. None of my other coworkers were invited. Just her and her friends she says. There are around 25 guests. I told her I would go on a whim.

I'm thinking I just go and have a good time, talk to her girl friends and whoever else. This doesn't mean she's interested in me right? She's always had a boyfriend but I was still playfully flirty. I didn't care if she liked me or not, I'm just that way.

Or, she's bringing me in to be evaluated by her friends and she's trying to branch swing to me?

Am I over thinking this? Should I not go to a birthday dinner with 20 strangers and one person I know?

I see this as a big waste of my time or a chance to game more girls.

Thanks in advance fellas!
