Kind of realised coworkers aren't "friends". They're just people you spend time with to make your shift less boring.
That being said I've come across too many situations where things I've said or done with my Co workers being used against me at different points. Especially those loser type (don't work out, no women, no other life than work type) guys use things I joke about with them to cut me down with managers.
And being young as I am, some of these jokes might have been off brand, but again, I made the mistake of thinking they were friends.
As work right now is just temporary part time work I do after college hours, it hasn't been detrimental to my career but I'd love to learn some ways to navigate through these waters so I don't make these mistakes in a proper job.
I'd like to have a relationship with them, as uninspirationally beta as they are, but at the same time I don't want to be buddy buddy.
Any tips appreciated
