When i see movies, comedians, shows, etc. I don't feel entertained like i used to. Not saying i don't enjoy it at all, but comedy for example, i just see people trying desperately to make a hefty paycheck without taking themselves seriously forgetting theres a skill and talent that needs to be had, like a musician would tell you, it's not enough to know which keys to play, you have to know why they need to be played. Or actors living so much in pretendland and treating it like a job that there's a strong vibe of being outta touch with everyone or why they did it in the first place. To inspire, to aww and amaze, to relate to everyone's experiences, and to provoke all manner of thought in regards to the core questions of our existence. Who are we? Where are we from? Where might we be going? what's possible for better or worse? Now that's not to say i don't feel that on occasion. But it feels like every god damn thing is about a paycheck and now it's the core driving force in the last place we had to get away from that. To the people driving the whole thing it's just a cash register. And it's mostly what i see anymore. People desperately try to escape from everyday life via the modern media/cinema all together. Doesn't much matter who. I feel very few people bother expressing their seemingly forgotten pashions and thoughts anymore to make a quick buck.
