Me and my brother are in a huge dilemma.

We have two options.

Option A) Live with our parents, a huge house, four stores high in a great neighborhood but we would need to invest at least for a full year until 100% done.

Cons of option A) Somewhat toxic, passive-aggressive behavior of our parents, no real peace of mind. When we both come home from work there's always some trouble at home hence we don't have either time or peace to deal with our project.

Pros of option A) More money in the house, we could afford ourselves a nice car and probably within a year both of our apartments would be fully complete and cozy.

Option B) Spend 1/3 salary on a private place where we would share all the expenses.

Cons of option B) Buying a car is not an option since we don't want to stretch ourselves financially (even though we both have above average income), we would "throw" our money on someone else that could be otherwise invested in our own home.

Pros of option B) Total freedom. No more nagging family on our back, more time to work on project, self-reliance and etc.

What's your take on this?

Bottom line is, if I move out I'll spend nearly 70% of my total income. If I stay at parents house and slowly build my apartment I'd lose around 30% of my total income.
