[Context] So I recently broke up with my girlfriend of one year at university, have had multiple hook ups in the past, I’m 20 but I’ve never really been on a first date. I decided it was time to get back into dating after a completely heinous breakup that wasn’t handled well and going monk mode for a bit. I secured a date with a cute girl and we agreed to meet at Starbucks tonight at 6:30. Won’t bore you with a life story but it went well however for some reason I struggled to see if she wanted to kiss me or not I made gestures about it, kino etc let her know my intentions and she told me she was into me. We hung out for about 3 hours and only left because it closed. When we were saying good bye we hugged and did the classic wait around for a second, then because I struggled to properly read this girl and know if she wanted to or not I said something along the lines of ‘I guess I’ll just shoot my shot, too forward to lean in for a kiss?’ But more of like I’m gonna do it anyways just making sure I don’t give you the wrong idea. She says nah and we both lean in. Standard kinda kiss but I felt like I had dry lips a bit and it just wasn’t very magical lmao. Not a make out just like three 3 second pecks kinda held. Strange experience for me cause I’ve never had that first kiss with a girl that isn’t like a drunk hookup lay the first night. Am I over thinking things? I told her I’d text her I didn’t fuck everything up right? Planning on waiting till tomorrow evening to try to set something up again as I’m going back to my home town for Christmas and won’t see her anyways and would like to see her again for about 3 weeks anyways.
