It looks like they just took the official number of falsely accused people, which, I assume are only the cases where a woman went in front of a court and was proven wrong. (not even that the case was dropped)

I also wonder why they used percentages instead of absolute numbers. Hmm, maybe they are trying to make their facts sound more real?

Like just say "In 2019, x people died to lightning strokes and y people were falsely accused of rape and x>y"

They took the number of women jailed for false rape accusations as the number of false rape accusations. Which is the tiny percent of the false rape accusations proven false by police. But doesn't account at all for false rape accusations not proven false by police.

Not to mention that the ones who are actually charged have usually either accused a cop, or have made several false rape accusations in a row and it finally catches up with them. Most notably, Jemma Beale, who falsely accused 16 men and got paid $11,000 Pounds before she was caught and put in jail. They would only count her as one false rape accusation in this magical formula.

"lightning strokes" this is a serious comment but I'm laughing my ass off at the picture I have in my mind of that

[–]shit-zen-giggles0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Worse, it's the number cases where a person was proven to have made false accusations and be found guilty.

1 in 4 women "I didn't like the way he looked at me"

[–]OnlyHanzo9 points10 points  (1 child) | Copy

Slaves arent allowed to look at their master.

[–]Philletto1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

That is the truth.

I think that stat is for sexual assault not just rape.

Oh no! I hate when people surprise me by suddenly illuminating me!

Wow what absolute garbage.

Are they really claiming that 1 in 4 women get sexually assaulted?

Lets check. In 2015 in the US there were 431,840 reported rapes.

165,920,000 women.

So that is 0.260270%

Lets round up to 0.3% to be fair.

So 3 in every 1000 women get raped. Not even close to the 1 in 4.

Let alone the bullshit in the other percentages. False accusations have increased massively since the #MeToo movement. So that percentage in the post is way way off.

the 1/4 thing comes from a study done on 2 college campuses and they counted drunk consensual sex as rape :/ and if my 8th grade science class taught me anything i’d say that experiments data was a bit skewed. I saw that dumb feminist video using the same complaints as always with kids in it talking about ma wage gap and le pink tax and they fucking told these KIDS, these FUCKING CHILDREN that one of them would be raped (their number was 1/5) and i’m like???? are you fucking kidding me??? https://youtu.be/XqHYzYn3WZw

[–]VestigialHead1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

Wow that video is pretty much the top of the trashy shit I have seen this year. Thanks for the link - I think (pretty disturbed that they are pushing that crap into kids ears).

Yeah the consensual drunk sex would be close to 1/4. So that would also mean 1/4 men get raped if consensual sex is now considered rape. In fact I would say that 99% of people have been raped if drunk consensual sex is rape. I do not know many married couples that have not gone out and got plastered and then fucked.

I really question what these extreme feminists have as a long term goal? At this rate they will destroy all male-female relationships. Which will plunge the western world into a massive deficit of children. This will absolutely screw the western world as there will not be enough people to run the society in a few generations.

I had been hoping that it is just a crazy fad and will right itself. But it is starting to look like we may need to put in a serious fight to get back to a sensible world again.

Not raped, sexually assaulted. Like if someone slapped their butt without permission.

[–]VestigialHead10 points11 points  (1 child) | Copy

Slapping someones butt is hardly sexual assault though. It is barely assault. Not saying it is not annoying for the victim. But calling it sexual assault is ridiculous.

[–]Nago318 points9 points  (0 children) | Copy

That’s the problem, they watered the definition to include minor problems.

[–]Gretshus4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy

the biggest problem with this is that it doesn't take into account rape accusations that were unsubstantiated, that is to say a claim with no evidence and no conviction (with no charge of false report). The majority of rape cases are unproven, (around 70-80% iirc), which indicates more that 90% (assuming my 70-80% was accurate) of rape cases are false or could be false. Considering all it takes is an accusation for someone's reputation to be ruined, I will say that being scared of a false claim is rational.

Lol, there is a magical formula I found on the r/menslib sidebar drawing from 6 different studies.

So 1/6 x 1/3 x 1/10 x 9/50 x 15/100 x 1/3 = 0.00005

Which mean out of all the women you meet you have a 0.005% chance of being falsely charged of Rape.

Although, shockingly, this formula didn't have a citation either.

Why do I feel a hesitation to call this "rigorous" science?

[–]AnaBusadoDemi2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

Hmm and i thought they were really for minorities

“when it happens to them” how do you know it will though tf? see they literally try/want it to happen for attention or something. they’re expecting it almost. girls are trippy i’m glad i’m gay lmaoooo.

[–]username2136[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

And if it WILL happen, why is it that it is 1/4 chance of getting raped? Amirite

[–]baronmad0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

What about the sexual abuse number, 99.99% of the cases are dropped, its cases such as "a man opened a door for me", "he gave me roses", "He gave my chocolate", "he asked me out on a date", "he wanted to have sex and id didnt", "he bought me a drink", "he sat down at my table", "he helped me move and asked if he was welcome to the house warming party", "he asked if he could carry my luggage for me", "he looked at my in a funny way", "i was drunk, he was drunk and we have sex", "he catcalled me". "he fixed my fridge and stove", "he changed my windows", "he gave me postcard" and i thought he was creepy. etc etc etc etc etc etc.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
