I thought I'd share here, since this sub seems to have a similar purpose.

Just wondering, are you against Radical/ Intersectional/ 3rd Wave Feminism, or feminism in general?

I’m against 3rd wave feminism, but I am for equality for all. Also what is the subreddit called?

[–]xKomorebi3 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy

Perfectly put. Obviously we’re not against women here, just against the kind of women who think men are inferior and everyone who doesn’t agree with heir line of thought should be censored immediately.

I stand with the text book feminism “equality of sexes” but frankly despise what self proclaimed “feminists” (fake feminists) are doing, e.g man bashing, being oversensitive and other stupid trends that go against feminism itself.

that was literally first wave feminism too. look up the white feather movement

I would say that this is the difference between real liberal feminism and radical feminism.

Fuck feminism, nothing but hypocrisy of the most cancerous sort

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (3 children) | Copy

feminism in general. it was never a good thing but people give it credit for things it didn't do

[–]ANIKAHirsch[S] -1 points0 points  (2 children) | Copy

What do you think people give feminism credit for that is undeserved?

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (1 child) | Copy

Voting rights first off. They did nothing for it really. They tried to stop poor women and black women from voting for being stupid. Right to work. Ww2 did that. Frankly they've done nothing but piss and moan for over 100 years and accomplished nothing

This is a good point actually. 1st Wave Feminism was a protest movement. Male politicians gave women the right to vote.

Something else feminists tends to take credit for: reproductive freedom. A man invented the birth control pill.

I'm against 3rd wave and radical feminism.

As a white young women, I’m against second wave feminism and for intersectional feminism. I feel that the equality for white women in education and workplaces have been achieved.

IMHO, current white feminists are truly the most annoying because white women significantly benefitted from second wave feminism. If you really are a feminist why are so concerned with your experiences and dominating the rape culture or whatever when nonwhite women are sexually assaulted at higher rates.

Intersectional feminists seem totally blind to their own privilege, ironically.

How so? Genuinely curious

[–]ANIKAHirsch[S] 2 points3 points  (1 child) | Copy

I would mimic what you said. Many of them are rich white women. Many of them are childless (some intentionally) and expect society or men to take of them. (I'm a white woman too, I know too many women like this.)

Super annoying right? Glad I’m not the only one. Appreciate this post!

At some point we have to stop associating ourselves with the term "feminist" when it crossed its line so many times. So calling it 'liberalfeminist' is a bit too redundant for me.

Valid concept though. .

I disagree. I believe in Women's Liberty and Equality of the Sexes. I think Liberal Feminism is the most accurate term for my belief system.

The split between Liberal and Radical Feminism can be traced back to the 2nd Wave. Liberal Feminists have always disavowed Radicalism.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
