Without oxytocin, you won't help pair bonding and monogamy. This works more like alcohol.

It's not like viagra helps any underlying cause, be it physical or emotional (the latter of which is completely discarded as a possibility).

While they both rely on wishful thinking for improved pair bonding, viagra doesn't fuck directly with your reward and mood systems.

Put it in the water supply like fluoride. Invest in condom manufacturers, abortion clinics, divorce lawyers and child psychologists. Prosper while watching the world burn.

I think what it most clearly demonstrates is the degree to which women become conscious of their lack of attraction to their partner.

The very existence of such a product painfully confirms the reality of hypergamy.

Many might suggest infidelity just happens, and indeed for men this may be a more accurate statement. But women are well aware they are no longer interested in their man. Also confirmed by the amount of women on RPW trying to deal with their "inner slut" or hypergamy rearing it's head.

And this is why I have put away designs of eventually marrying. Even if there's no actual infidelity, to me if she wanted to that bad, your marriage would be the equivalent of living a lie. And I have no interest in living a lie.

The best we can hope for is to enjoy our s.o. in the capacity that we can for the time that we can. But maybe that's not so bad. All good things come to an end. And other good ones can begin in their stead.

No absolutely wrong. Products exist because people think..."hey someone might buy this shit and we could make money!" A shit ton of people buy Viagra for men. Do you really think that no one would try making a Viagra for women? Its not deep. End of story

[–]SpecialFester 7 points8 points9 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

EH. Wrong. Products are created to meet a demand that already exists.

I rarely will criticize another on this subreddit but that was just asinine.

[–]treefrog24 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

So Taco Bell started making Dorito tacos because there was a massive demand for them? New products come out everyday that fail or are successful. How is there a huge demand for original products no one has ever thought of before? The argument that products only exist because there is a huge demand is proven wrong by the 95% of all new products that fail every year.

[–]ugdr6424 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The difference is that, in the case of female viagra, the demand already exists.

[–]SpecialFester 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

C'mon guys, someone help me out here.

[–]treefrog24 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Was there a huge demand for iPads before they came out? Products are cloned and copied when there is a demand for a product that already exists. After the iPad came out, other manufacturers made their own tablets because the product itself caused the demand. The guy that made millions off the Slinky or Hoolahoop wasn't meeting a demand that was lingering around. He created a demand with the product. There is no demand for female Viagra. If so where is the source for the claim. After female Viagra comes out and it some new amazing drug that every chic needs to try, then you will have your demand.

The demand only exists in the mind of the inventor who believes that people will want their product.

Just viagra and testosterone. Sounds like clever marketing repackaging old medicine and not much else. More here.

And a nice, shiny new patent.

[–]Mooshaq 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

A couple of things:

Lybrido is different than lybridos.

Lybrido (sildenafil + testosterone) is like Viagra (sildenafil citrate), in that it causes extra blood flow to erectile tissues and external genitalia. If they do continue to add testosterone to it, it will have a positive effect on sex drive, and thus is not really "female viagra" anymore. Male viagra is different because it works solely on penile blood flow; any increased sensation and pleasure (relative to erections of the same quality without Viagra) is psychologically-derived.

Lybridos (buspirone hydrochloride + testosterone) is not at all like Lybrido or Viagra. On short term use (as would be the case for sexual dysfunction drugs), it lowers serotonin levels, subsequently increasing dopamine levels. This drug works solely on the brain – testosterone increases sex drive (among other things) and increased dopamine will lead to increased sensation and pleasure.

Here is the link to a recently-completed trial of Lybrido.

As far as TRP goes, it will help monogamy, but also fuel hypergamy. At what ratio the two will end up, we'll just have to wait and see.

Big difference in chemistry. 1 letter difference in brand name. ಠ_ಠ

[–]Mooshaq 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

That's the case in pretty much all of chemistry.

e.g. SucrOse has 45 atoms, sucrAse has somewhere around 11,000 atoms.

[–]Swifthand4 points 12 years ago [recovered] (4 children) | Copy Link

Not the same. -ose is a sugar, -ase is an enzyme. Also, both not brand names.

[–]Mooshaq -2 points-1 points0 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I am quite aware of these facts, no need to iterate them. Most drug names aren't just pulled out of the producer's ass. They mean things, like how the -mab in rifluximab and adalimumab means "monoclonal antibody." Since pharmaceuticals and their nomenclature are an application of chemistry, my point still applies.

[–]Swifthand1 points 12 years ago [recovered] (2 children) | Copy Link

Your point fails. You're just showing off your knowledge here anyway, which is apparent by you getting annoyed by anyone else saying anything about the matter.

[–]Mooshaq 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Your point fails. You're just showing off your knowledge here anyway

Ok. You're right.

...you getting annoyed by anyone else saying anything about the matter.

You did not comment on my OP about the difference between the drugs. You tried to correct my little side comment (sucrose vs. sucrase), which was an auxiliary point for personal edification and nothing more.

[–][deleted] 12 points13 points14 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Oh lordy...make women feel like cock hungry teenagers again. It doesn't take a psychic to see how this will go wrong.

I can guarantee that 90% of viagra cases are misunderstood, too. I'm 37 and I know for a fact that the best way to get me to fuck like a 16 year old is to give me new pussy. Women become sexually engaged mentally, this is well known. Stay fresh and exciting, keep seducing your woman, don't settle too long in a routine...that's how you don't get to the point of needing this product.

[–]redpilldude 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

This is funny and sad at the same time. If a woman has no sexual attraction towards her husband (but is presumably sexually attracted to other men who are Alphas), is this pill going to magically create sexual desire towards her husband?! LOL, let's stop being ludicrous here.

[–]puaSenator 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Dunno, depends how you want to use it. It's obviously not going to solve any underlying issues, but it could work in cases after having a child and she just isn't as interested in sex any longer. Or, if you just want to have a more wild of a night.

Think of it like drinking alcohol before sex. Yeah, it's not needed, but it losens everyone up and can make sex a little different and more fun.

[–]RedditBlueit 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Thought you meant PT-141.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Its designed to make wifey more horny.

Men have been begging for that for ages.

If wives everywhere starting putting out to husbands more, the world would be a happier place.

Slow up on the criticism of this.

[–]FortunateBum 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Women are turned on by status. You can't put that in a pill. That's why all efforts to medically increase female libido fail.

[–]treefrog24 -2 points-1 points0 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

"Incase you don't want to give visits to the website.." Really?? From a business standpoint, i would sell pink handguns labeled "For Feminists Only" if i thought it was profitable. Redpill is way of thinking not a militia group in a power struggle, but good luck with your boycott attempt. Ok time to leave redpill and reddit for a while.

[–]DavidTIntellectual -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

increase "lust" (but not create it). Maybe not a bad idea since antidepressants and The PillTM have an impact on libido.

Viagra has no effect on libido. It just promotes blood flow in the penis.
