However, I have to say this; she's innocent until (and unless) proven guilty. I'm all for men not being punished just for being accused of wrongdoing, so I have to extend her the same consideration.

Not as mainstream, but a Baltimore Delegate (former, though she retired not long ago) was given a slap on the wrist for "selling her office to pay the bills." The 2 year sentence was likely because of her age, but even the repayment isn't likely to be collected. Then again, this is Baltimore. Not an honest politician in the bunch.
