I dated this guy some 3 years ago, we recently reconnected ( still considering if it’s a good idea or not) This conversation happened via text today. 3 years ago he invited me to his house for a dinner date and the food was sub par.

Him: so you are shading my cooking skills ? Me: yes. But I can see You put effort in so I shouldn’t shade too much, forgive me? Him : I will if you pay for the next dinner date/ coffee Me: well Looks like I won’t get forgiveness!

... Him: only joking I guess I can forgive you. (Changes subject)

I was not gonna play around with being asked to pay for the next date joke or not!
