So this Christmas party I had some old friends come over and had some friends I recently made come over as well. One of an old friend(girl) made a really bad remark about me really loud. It was meant to be friendly banter but she spurted out loud. Everyone felt silent. I got caught off guard. I pretty much avoid her and the group the rest of the night. I realised that I need to drop the whole group since they are just a bunch of loud gossip group. I’ve gone no contact since then. But I still don’t know if I reacted the best way. Could have I done better?
