Women based their happiness on validation and attention of others. Men base their happiness on what they’ve accomplished and achieved.

By 30s the women’s looks fade and they get less attention while men have accumulated knowledge, experience and career success and is now paying dividends in their life.

Best of all, men can be content with almost anything in their life. Women seems cannot find that contentment in the simple things.

How many women say “ah, I went and camped alone for the weekend and it was the best....” no one to validate me, no one to see my new outfit, to compliment me or praise me. You kidding?! That’s their worst nightmare!!

Reminds me of the studies that show 'married men' are happier. The methodology of these studies is such that they include divorced men with the single men. The divorced men will be unhappy, bringing down the average happiness of the unmarried men relative to the married men. The methodology if flawed.

I can't find a clip but Marc Rudov on a Fox News segment way back debating with a woman on the topic: It all starts at childhood; with women being taught they should be on a pedestal. With men: hapiness is derived from accomplishment.
