Most money or consistent steady income to survive on?

Earn the most money, well which family you are born into and the resulting privilege is a big factor.

Consistent income...things the vast majority of people wont or cannot do for themselves that require skills to get right and can be done without going to get a full blown degree. Plumber, mechanic, builder, HVAC, electrician etc.

Try working on an oil rig.

It's dangerous, a men-only environment, and even when starting at absolute 0, if you're fully dedicated to it, you can get to a 6-figure salary after 4-5 years of hard labor.

The highest paying jobs in this field cap out at around 500k/year. You will need a degree if you want to go that far. But if you're dedicated and want to progress beyond the 150k/year or so range, you can earn the degree on the side while already working the job and making very good money.

I don't know what will yield the most money but I know there is always work in key sectors such as food manufacturing, oil/gas or health services

At the moment most useful university training is shut down and it will be so for years yet. That means that vocational training is the way to go. If you have an enjoyment with doing things with you hands and your brain, I would learn a trade like electrician or plumbing or automotive tech. If you are in a hurry and don't mind some hard work, then the building trades is a good possibility. Becoming an Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic in the aviation business pays well and will likely grow. The airlines will explode with pent up demand. Vocational education is the way to go in my book. Useless college degrees have lost their savor.

Something which you can do with a computer + internet anywhere in the world. Might not be the case but with pandemic I can see stuff shifting towards online outlets. It’s actually already happening.
