Solving the problem is doable by legislation.

If a certificate of custody intention acknowledgement is not signed by the father and stamped by the proper authority either during pregnancy or just after the birth takes place, the child is legally aborted not only from the father but from the mother too. Now, society can and should not commit infanticide or extremely late abortions of course. However - the queue of prospective good willing adoptive parents is huge...

This surely would make women think a second time before they do an "oops!"
