Yes, the goal for many is to find a healthy relationship someday. But we don't need men. The second we think we need a man, we lose. So we're happy being single. And should someone who is worthy of us come our way, great.

I think what I see most here is a vibe of I'm awesome with or without a man. If one comes along fantastic, but if not, just as cool with it. I hear what you're saying but ironically, until FDS I thought I wanted (and was ready for) a relationship. FDS has revealed that it was not just a bad handful of guys/experiences in my life that made me hesitant to trust the XY brigade, but, in fact, most men do suck. FDS was a catalyst for my own self growth and exploration of not only who I am, but what parts of me were conditioned to cater to men. This lead to the revelation that single or partnered, I'll be fine. I think you may be picking up on that I don't need men vibe and I get how it could beg the question then why are you on FDS? All I can say to that is this is the safest place I've ever found online to commiserate about the collective experiences of being a woman.
