I read once that when playing with a cat using a toy, it's best to engineer the game such that the cat gets the toy about one third of the time. This ratio, I was told, is the one that keeps the cat interested in the game, preventing her from losing interest 1. because it's too difficult, or 2. because it's too easy.

When engaging with a woman, I suggest rationing your attention, affection, effort, time, and energy generally such that she can perceive it to be desirable, understand that it is possible for her to enjoy, enjoy fully, and then miss an appropriate amount of time before getting her next dose.

An alternative analogy is video games. A video game too easy isn't engaging, but one too difficult never gets you hooked. These dynamics involve the fundamentals of dopamine, the substance that regulates every aspect of our lives.

If a woman becomes under the conscious or subconscious impression that she has mastered you, that she has obtained a level of value-extraction from you that has peaked at its potential, then her attentions will begin to wander elsewhere and her visceral fixation on you will wane.

If she experiences a rationed drip of value from you, knowing that you have more to give, but have not yet chosen to, she will continue to suck eagerly at that teat.
