That show would never pass even back then. It was a moment in time where the studio was desperate for content and had nothing. They signed a contract with the creators and gave them essentially unlimited freedom. And they did that because they didn’t have the money to offer at the time. Thus Polk High’s Al Bundy, Mr 4 Touchdowns in a single game was born. The anti-hero to all these fake family shows that highlight a more perfect father.

Marriage was meant to be sharing life and chores, work, with your partner. What we see today is: women want a house and money and women betrays the husband with drunks and bad boys and women blame the husband who is working all day long and desires deeply to have a good house to come back to.
