I realized this. For someone on the outside with emotional ties to believing fyeminist dogma, it's way simpler and easier to simply plop MGTOW into a a neat category than to investigate our real views. It would take some effort to check out whether maybe marriage has become an inherently rotten deal for men. They would have to consider that maybe men's high suicide rates have something to do with men never receiving any empathy and simply having things demanded of us in exchange for (maybe) affection. When you're a kid, women and basically everyone empathizes with you. When you become an adult, that shit is OVER. You are now simply expected to provide, and if you don't yield to those demands, no love for you. I would submit that love in exchange for money and provisions is not love at all.

So there are numerous and easily provable reasons why it makes sense to simply drop out. Refuse marriage. Refuse all cooperation. Refuse to serve. But understanding that takes some effort. It takes someone being willing to challenge long-held assumptions. It's way easier to simply brand it with a "hater" label.
