You all probably recognize my name as the girl who cried and complained for weeks over being “Alpha-widowed” by a top tier guy.
It turns out... he actually wasn’t all that. I just found out that a lot of people thought I was out of his league. This is solidified by the fact that since I started going out more, I’ve gotten attention from FAR more objectively attractive guys.
This entire time, I thought I couldn’t be attracted to anyone else but him because he was the best I could do. The most “alpha” of males. In all reality? I just made him out to be so. I put that delusion in my head because I liked him and I was insecure.
I’m starting to believe that personal feelings have a lot more to do with these things than some primal phenomenon. If a girl has feelings for a guy and/or is low on herself, of COURSE she’s going to think he’s the best guy in the world. He doesn’t have to be all that attractive or “Alpha”.
I gotta apologize for crying and making all of those posts. I now see how delusional and crazy I sounded. I guess I just didn’t want to admit that I liked him and I definitely didn’t want to admit I hated myself.
