Marriage is like signing a lifelong data plan with a mobile phone company. Every month or year you have to pay your fees, no matter how high or ridiculous they are or how poor the service actually is. As an attractive older guy myself I can confirm what you said, and also add that marriage is even less beneficial for attractive men.

In fact, we don't even need marriage as a leverage to have exclusive access to sex, because usually we have no problem to have ONS or relationships with women.

When I was younger, I wanted to get married, have kids, the whole shebang. I was a blue pilled Simp growing up. It wasn't until I started talking to other men who were married and realized how miserable the average married man was. Some of the horror stories I heard, especially when it comes to alimony, or alimony AND child support were horrendous. I looked up the pros and cons about marriage for men and this is what I found.

Cons of Marriage for Men:

Losing your house

Losing your retirement money

Losing your children

Losing your children and having to pay someone child support that will most likely spend it on themselves, rather than the children

Losing your social security benefits

Losing your car

Losing your sanity

Losing your pension

Having to pay another fully functional grown adult who can work alimony for an indefinite amount of time.

I remember reading that 90% of marriages never make it past the 10 year mark anymore. Who the hell is willing to gamble 50% of everything they own on a 10% chance of success? Even if you manage to survive 10 years, there are plenty of couples who have been married for 10+ years who are MISERABLE with each other but are too stubborn to leave.

Of course there is a benefit to getting married. You save some money on the taxes that you pay. It's savings you get when you are broke paying for all the expensive shit to keep her from divorcing you and taking what is left.

There is no real benefit to getting married. There are plenty of downsides when things go wrong.

When I was blue pilled and simping I wasn't that attractive. After getting burned I put effort into my appearance and now receive a lot of attention from women. A LOT of those women have an SO of some kind. If they're that happy to cheat then there is no reason to think I'd be safe. Nothing more eye opening. Someone posted a story about a high school "sweetheart" supposedly gave her virginity to a chad she met after a couple hours. She made her boyfriend wait for sex but readily gave up her virginity within the hours after meeting a chad. Her boyfriend had all kinds of plans for them.

The ideia of women purity and that she is yours and you hers. That's why people get married. They think life is worth taking the risks of losing half or all of their own shit just for a bitch. They think its worth it to try to have children and not be able to see them if she wants. To be judge as a abusive person if she claims so. Dumb people yea. My goals in life certainly included kids. I wanted to work on projects with them, see them develop, raise the next generation of good citizens, and carry on the heritage of my family. Clearly the best environment for children is a two-parent family. I was upfront on the first or second date with any dating partner that I wanted a large family, and if that wasn't a shared goal, we didn't need to waste time. Looking back, that ended up being a good filter.

I'm incredibly blessed with four little boys. They're my motivation to work hard and strive for excellence, and the most fulfilling aspect of my life. I couldn't have predicted how much it would change me. My wife is a great partner and her family and my family are very involved in helping with grandkids/nephews. It's a really great environment. It's not all rainbows and unicorns, LOL, and there are certainly frustrations I wouldn't have to deal with alone, but I would make the trade-off 100/100 times. I would completely honestly rather have the family I have now than a $100 million lottery ticket.

Have your eyes open (which you obviously do) but to accomplish some goals you have to trust other people and take a chance. It's somewhat analogous to starting a business that combines the strengths of two partners, or starting a company that sells shares of ownership. One on hand, bringing in a partner to start up presents risks of failure that you wouldn't have starting up alone. Bringing in investors dilutes your control. But the right partner or much greater funding can also multiply your strengths and allow you to accomplish things you just literally could not do as a sole proprietor. It's a risk, but many choose to take the risk when they're aware of the potential consequences.
