No..... a lot of MGTOWs did not suffer from abuse while growing up.

Maybe you did and I am sorry for that. Projecting your personal issues on a large group is not reality.

I had a happy childhood. That was decades ago before the USA was totally broken though. Would not want to raise a kid in this current environment. Having had a happy upbringing and comparing that to what I see going on today is the ultimate red pill.

I was never physical abused when I was a kid however my mother literally blackpilled me. Threw away perfect life and husband (my father) to ride cc. This shit is literally in green texts and memes nowadays. can't make it up

My parents are asian, I wouldn't call it abuse but we spank our kids, huge mistakes = the big stick.

My father would always support and provide a helping hand into interests like video games or music he's made me cry tears of joy and I appreciate having him as my father gave me the freedom to do what I wanted

My mother always gave me the cold shoulder for the same things. She was tough stern and wanted to mold me in her image. I am looked as her failure, she could of never gossip about me I never achieved the things she wanted.

Very bad childhood
Mom was the breadwinner
Keep yelling at her husband
Keep forcing me to do stuff i don't want to do (go to church, marriage, wash dishe while in multiplayer game...)
Give more money to other brothers and sisters who spend it on shit (new haircut, night club ...) and refuse to give you money to buy stuff on your own. in short, you have to specify why you need the money, asking money for buying usb flash drive or video game or going on cyber cafe don't work.
From my 12 year old, a single day couldn't pass without me yelling at my mother. She keep telling me illogical shit who piss me off all the time, and she litterally can't speak without yelling, maybe because she work in the law industry.

Well these are just the bad side of her, she also got some good side like she is still married, go on gym every morning before going to work, good house, food, education... but i still don't like her

Now i am in my late twenty and very rarely talk with her. i enjoy the peace of mind and silence too much. I am African btw, Cameroonian.

Grew up in a very small prairie town. Adventures, swimming in the river and lake, shooting pellet guns, got told to get a job if I wanted a dirtbike- so I got one. 400 bucks. Washed dishes 3 days a week. Finished high school. Lost V card at 17. Pretty good child hood. Older brother was an asshole.

Physical abuse by who? Mother, father, both? I didn't suffer from abuse. My father had spanked me couple of times when I was a kid but that I don't consider abuse.

psychological and physical abuse was pretty common, it was so common that i still kind of believe its normal for parents to abuse their children, when i know its not..

its hard for me to imagine that there are people who grew up without abuse

Violently redneck childhood. Mother was an enabler for abuse.

But sometimes going thru a lot of crap you dont deserve, promotes learning to think for yourself.

And makes you a lot tougher mentally.

You also learn a lot about how not to parent.

And eventually you learn to edit people no matter what social expectations are.

After you edit enough humans, tranquility arrives like magic.

There's a spatial factor to human behavior... the more distance the fewer problems...

For example: I'm about 4,000 miles from my exwife, problems zero.

In fact, she's somebody else's problem now.. which is quite pleasant comparatively.

For every loss there's a gain and vice versa.

I get to live in peace, and its a pearl of great price...

I grew up in a family ravaged by alcoholism. That includes aunts uncles, grandfathers, etc. Dad and mom were fighting constantly. There were stretches of years when dad did have the drinking firmly under control and things were good then. In fact, very good. When I was young I was too naive to see what was going on but my mother was really intolerable to live with and would not acquiesce or work with my dad in the slightest to have a decent marital relationship. My dad just tolerated it until one day when I was 17 he went off the deep end and quit tolerating it and drank himself to death over a period of about 4 years. Several times he trashed the house and shot it up with guns quite a bit and got thrown into the country slammer for 2-3 days at a time to dry out until he was sober. Mind you, this was a house that they worked to pay for to build. And mostly his paychecks paid for it. He worked the night shift for years at his hospital ER job to pay it off. Despite having everything, the farm, the countryside house, the kids, the cars, she still refused to do anything to have a decent relationship with my dad. When I turned 18 and graduated from high school I purposefully went to a college far away and lived in the dorm. I went home for Christmas, Thanksgiving, and summer about 1-2 weeks and that was it. I purposely took jobs and shifts to keep me busy to stay away until about my third year in college when dad died from liver dysfunction brought about by excessive drinking. My advice to any younger guys here would be to avoid all alcohol and drugs, tobacco, etc and stay clean and healthy and follow Christ. If I hadn't become a Believer in the middle of the year when my dad was drinking the heaviest I probably would have failed dismally in life and I shudder to think about what would have happened. Go to college and consider a male oriented field if possible such as STEM if your talents lie in that area. In class in college stay clean and avoid women, especially if they are in the liberal arts college. Liberal arts college are positively infested with insane lunatic fe**mists who are the worst of the worst. Be careful debating or challenging liberal profs as they can ruin you for good if they get too irked with hearing things they disagree with. I see it daily as I work in academia myself.

I suffered zero physical abuse, but take the NORMAL amount I WOULD'VE suffered in that category and ADD it to the mental abuse one - that's me. Thankfully, I was equipped with both a perfect mind as well as spirit that got me through it.

I got bullied by a girl - she was sending 5 simps on to me, they would not stand a chance solo though, lasted for a year. That was in college.

I find it hard to find any correlation between mgtow and being physically abused. Everybody has reasons to believe their childhood was shitty, but when you compare it to the average childhood throughout human history you'll probably find out it wasn't so bad after all.
