I was opened by a girl, in one of my classes when she saw that I made a (pretty sweet) course kit out of the profs lecture notes. She was veey warm and smiling.

She then started sitting beside me evry class snd sometimes we talk. Got her number early in the semester to 'study together'.

In class, she will mostly say 'hi how are you doing' to me and then grow cold and untalkative. I mirror her, if she talks to me first I am distant and polite. When I tried to talk to her first she was cold and unresponsive a few times. She never eesponded to my fb friend invite. Naturally, I wrote her off in my head, but remained polite.

Imagine my surprise when she texts me out of the blue asking to study together and sends 4 texts for my every one. We meet up next day (I take my sweet ass time getting there), but she tells me that she has to leave early to go to a driving lesson. Before leaving she asks if I will br on campus the next day. I wasn't.

I text her the next day instead saying we should hang out. She says 'Sounds good'. When I text her for her schedule, no response. That was Sunday. Text her the day before our test and tell her were I am going to be. No response.

I wrote her off, but today I get 4 texts from her saying 'Hey sorry Future_Alpha. Wasn't really feeling well and couldn't make it to the midterm. How are u? How was the test?'

Now I am not in the mood to reply instantly, I dislike being ignored. I'd probably wait a few days and text back. But problem is we have class together tomorrow and shes likely gonna be there. How long should I wait to respond? Or is there no point playing these waiting games? Finally, I am confused by these mixed signals - can someone explain?

My plan - is to mirror her moods, invite her to an extended study session and escalate. But I don't want to do it first thing when I text back, still kinda pissed about the not texting back thing. Or am I just being pissy and overthinking?

Tl;DR Met girl. Got number. Shes playing hot cold with me in person. Didn't accept fb friend invite. Randomly texts me to study together. We study. When I initiate, no response. Few days later more response. Please help?
