I am in India, student of sociology. I was writing papers on Caste System in India. Few days later I was talking to a girl whom I am interested in. Somehow that topic came up and I gave a 5 minute speech on caste system of India. It was like telling a story. I deeply love my subject, I sure as hell enjoyed talking about it. She listened to me silently.

After that I gave another example of my deep knowledge and understanding when I explained her the procedure of employment of government officials.

She was listening to me silently again. And then she put her head down and was like "I am feeling sleepy". She didn't say that to diss me. Last thing that this girl cares about is knowledge and career. These things least interest her.

So am I supposed to have intellectual discussions or not? Am I supposed to make them laugh? We essentially have a conflict of interest, cause I love intellectual discussions.
