Hey guys, I'm at a new high school this year and there's a guy who (for a reason I'm not sure about) really dislikes me. He has social leverage over me (very popular funny guy) but I'm pretty certain I could whoop him in a fight. How should I go about handling this? Details below:

When I arrive at the school at the start of the year he's nice to me. He Thinks it's sweet that I'm at his school now. A few weeks into school he throws a party. Two days before the party I ask him if I can come and he's like "sure bro, everyone at this school is invited." Over the two day period he stops talking to me, looking the other way when he walks by me. I show up to test my luck and what do you know, he's saying he never invited me and to go away.

A week after his party he's nice to me again. Talking to me at lunch and whatnot.

This weekend he's hosting a party at another guys house and again he's being very dodgy when I ask what's happening this week. The guy who's house he's hosting it at is rattled and posts on facebook that "anyone not invited will be maced if they try to get in." I'm not on that list but the bully writes my name in a comment below. Everything he comment always gets 5+ likes just because of how funny he is, and now he's gotten a few likes on the comment and has "publicly" humiliated me.

This guy's using social media tactics and (pretty effectively) bullying me. My question is whether or not I should just punch him out he next time I see him. Is there a better way to handle this?
