In my experience people rarely ever mess with me (besides being playful and banter) because I have a strong frame, strong opinion and I always keep direct eye-contact with the people I interact.

In case a plate crosses that line - (soft) next or dread. In case its a friend, you ignore or face them one on one, and politely but firmly lay out how you wish to be treated. 9 out of 10 times, shake hand after and crack a joke. With strangers, depending on the situation, just bail/ignore.

Oh, and being jacked / tall also helps a lot.

You give them a very specific look that says " i have nothing to lose in life and enjoy inflicting pain". ™️

Its a wide eyed, focused look, sprinkled with deep pain that results in you looking at others like prey. Maybe do it while smiling, never breaking eye contact. This, along with decent physical frame, and your golden ponyboy.

Demonstrate it. BE the guy people shouldn't mess with.

HINT: It's not being intimidating, either. It's life experience, success + failure, turned into Wisdom knowing that whatever happens, you'll be fine.

I know that's not the response you were looking for, but it'll make sense in time - as long as you continue pursuing the truth.

Well you already fucked up by having someone mess with you.

You need to build yourself and frame in a way that give people the message before you even interact with them. (Being tall 6ft+, lifting, witty humor, and being grounded are helpful for this)

Don't be a skinny bitch or talk like one because people will pick on those that they know won't bark back.

I’m kind of tall, lift and have a giant beard, so people generally don’t mess with me. On the rare occasion someone tries to start shit with me, I usually deescalate it by just maintain a relaxed and friendly attitude. This sounds unintuitive, but people who mess with people are expecting fear, or anger…if you’re relaxed and chill…that throws them off, also… what does maintaining a relaxed or neutral vibe tell them…if they’ve been around the block a few times, it tells them you got something for their ass
