Here's the backstory to this question

There was a poll being held in my office space where a guy (A) suggested that it is not okay to have a women only group inside the office chat space unless it is implemented correctly to ensure that no backbiting, shit talking and bitching happens in the group.

To which one female colleague (B) commented that it was extremely offensive of him to say that women only group are backbiting, shit talking and bitching in nature.

EVERYONE in my office up voted the above comment made by B.

But when A replied saying that's not what he meant and even linked this article to prove that toxic femininity is real, no one even bothered to up vote that comment. Is it because of the fear of being publicly seen as a supporter of someone who happens to be a man and is actually correct?

Why is it considered "modern" and okay to up vote anything related to women and supporting women (even supporting toxic femininity) and everyone up votes but no one raises a voice when something is remotely even mentioned supporting men and calling out the lack of logic in what the female colleague commented about?

PS - it's not about the upvotes. It's about why people are not afraid to publicly support women (even though sometimes what they support has 0 logic and is extremely sexist towards men) but don't support when it comes to the men? What is that fear about? Or is it fear?
