I was buying cigarettes from the gas station. The lady asked for my ID.

She looked at it for a long time, she scanned it, then she said “okay drop your face mask”.

All her coworkers looked at her confused and said “WOAH we are supposed to make them do that???”

“I’ve never done that, we are supposed to?”

That was the only time ever that someone asked me to do that, I’ve been buying a pack a week ever since Covid started... I haven’t had anyone ask me since.

If I would have declined I’m sure she would have refused my service.

Either bow down, conform and drop my face mask or buy cigarettes somewhere else.
