First of all, I'm 17 and I just swallowed the pill but my patience is guarding my virginity.

Been with this girl for a month and a half. Yesterday I texted her, saying we should meet in the city, she didn't want to, so I Invited myself over to her place:

... Me: I'll meet you at your place then.

Her: Why?

Me: I'll bring popcorn

Her: Why?

Me: Triple date between your laptop, you and me.

Her: Sure, when? ...

this actually surprised me because she always said she didn't want me over at her place because of her parents.

Here's what didn't go well:

So I went over, she said she can't watch a movie because her laptop isn't working or something (so no Netflix n Chill). She asked what we should do instead and for a moment I went full Beta again saying I don't know and reflected the question right back to her. We went to her room and just awkwardly sat there doing pretty much nothing, or rather me doing nothing. I thought about escalating since she was giving me some IOIs, but couldn't bring myself to do it. We talked a bit about her day and after a couple of hours she politely asked me to leave because her parents won't allow guests to stay longer but most likely because I was boring her.

When she got up I decided I should make a move (way too fucking late), I grabbed her hips and tried to kiss her, she turned away playfully, saying I should make it up to her because (I had a moment of "Schadenfreude" when she burned herself a bit while cooking) should have said something like: "What about this?" or some cheesy shit and then escalated, probably what she was trying to bait. I tried again, she didn't really stop me and even let me kiss her neck. But for some fucking reason I stopped and decided it was a good idea to leave.

What the fuck is wrong with me.

How can I be more straight forward with escalating and not pussy out in the middle of it?
