I said no to a job in a company that tried to bully me into signing a contract written in a language I do not know and couldn't be happier (and a few things about emergency funds, owning a business, life, and everything)

Never sign anything that you don't fully understand. Don't mind the language. Even in my mother tongue i read 2-5times before I sign. If somebody doesn't like it, i tell them to get fucked. I can read or not sign

Respect for doing that. That's also part of going your own way.

A lot of companies nowadays behaving shady, but asking to sign a contract in a foreign language is even a bigger red flag.

Usually companies have the contract in english or in english and the other language at the same time (side by side).

You might alsi try to contact the companies you declined again and say you reconsidered. I mean you have not much to lose and sometimes they will agree.

Been there, done that too with these two-faced companies. These companies will totally screw you over for their short term profit. They aren't interested in long term workers at all. Their motto is "screw over the guy who wants to work for short term profits".

There are companies like this all over the world. And the people who own these companies are the same assholes who have the audacity to moan, "why does the younger generation not wanna work hard these days?"

Yea! Now imagine what could happened if you have kids and a wife telling you that because of you the kids are starving to death. That’s why companies like married men, they are easier to manipulate.
