So I was at this bar and these two girls were sitting there having a drink. I approach both of them and we hit it off. Then my friend comes and takes one of the girls, a planned strategy we had so that each of us could focus our efforts on one girl. The problem is, he took the girl I was into. He didn't know this of course, and my body language did gravitate toward the girl I was less interested in just because she was closer to me. So we chat the rest of the night, and it turns out she is this out of town lesbian. Meanwhile, adding insult to injury, I see my wing dancing and making out with the girl I wanted. Good for him, of course.

The problem is, this was on New Years and it has been about two days now and I cannot but shake the feeling that I missed out. The girl my wing made out with was drunk, went to the same school as me, and was super ready to throw herself at any guy that did a halfway decent approach on her. I know this is some weird form of oneitis, but I find it hard to let go. All the what-ifs in my mind keep popping up, and the regret of not going after her myself weigh on my psyche. I guess like with any oneitis it will go away with time. But damn, I seem to be building this up in my head to an unhealthy level.

There is nothing I can do about it at this point. They exchanged Facebooks while I was stuck with her lesbian friend. It just sucks, and I feel that perhaps if I shared this experience maybe something would come out of it. Perhaps a similar experience has happened to you and you have advice on how to successfully rehabilitate.
