earlier I got my dad (business owner) and me (40 hour /week worker) in a moment. He insists need to go spray the weeds in the field. I actually blow up, this is like just royally pissed like I haven’t had a day off in 9 days, today I’m shutting my phone off, doing things like dishes, laundry, all those crazy things normal people do each week.

His response is the usual threatening to sell the place or have me replaced with someone else. I could scribble down over a million bucks in choices I’ve influenced over the past decade that this place did not end up spending but feels like I don’t get any respect. At harvest dads pretty much screwed if I wasn’t pointing at the machines saying what moves to which place for 10 hours per day over two weeks in September.

So in this situation if working here leads to one day taking the place over which I pretty much have, but you have the person that owns the place running it wrong pissing off the people that work here. Is it worth it to stick around? Only other option, leave here and go put in 40 years at McDonald’s, at least I’d have my own place and be happy being away from here
