Finding love

Love is an emotion of pleasure we feel when we see beauty, good, or virtue in someone and associate the beauty, good or virtue with that someone. That is the Jewish definition for Love.

It’s an emotion. It’s pleasurable. WE feel it; the object of our appreciation will not feel it, and may not even know we are having such a feeling. Someone could love you, but you have no interest in them AT ALL. They are the ones getting any benefit from their feelings.

It seems to me, then, that we could love someone and never need to express that love. The pleasure is ours.

I therefor have little trouble feeling love for someone, and I may tell them so. I have done this when I read a complete stranger’s comment that I really found lovable on social media. Or I may not tell them I love them, and have no problem with it if they don’t also love me. They are the ones restraining or preventing themselves from feeling pleasure.

The one person you NEED to love, though, is yourself.

I've realized a while back that Love is an IDEA that was packaged for sale. When you read social history, you realize it was invented. Over time, it has many meanings. Most believe in practice that its nature over nurture. But, it's not. It's mostly how we apply ourselves in the environment we are in, the company we keep and decisions we make. Nature is simple and raw. As humans, we complicate it and sell it. It's sold to everyone, but there are winners and losers.
Love in marriage was not a thing 1000 years ago when you read the historical context. It was arranged and a business deal. Even the biblical writings don't talk about love until the NT where it becomes a main theme. Other religious writings in 3rd world cultures show no love either. Females can be of many minds about the idea of love. its all based on circumstance and self. They want control. They want you to placate. They want affirmation and you boost their esteem. They want a leader, but then they don't. They want you to be tough, but not so tough. They want you to spend money, but on them. They want it to be perfect because they are told they are perfect and deserve it. It's about love of self. It only gets worse. For me, in the context of the love idea.. Everyone deserves to be generally loved. But, I think the only thing you can do is love yourself and try to love others. "Finding" love is not a thing because not everyone has or can. You can only give love.
As hard as that is, its possible.

No one knows what’s going on in a relationship except the participants but somehow you do for every person on the world? I think the harsh truth is you’re just making shit up.
