Am I the only one who is starting to HATE driving around with a passenger ?

Happened today : We where going to a place 50Km (31Miles) away. The GPS I have has real time traffic conditions, at times it will take detours making the trip longer distance wise but shorter time wise. Today the GPS saved us 12 minutes by taking the longer route. When I deviated from the "known" route she asked "Where you going ?". I said "Where the GPS is taking me", she had full view of the GPS. She didn't talk to me to whole trip, she hates it when I take new roads. I am used to it. Please tell me I'm not alone in this...
