So people, here's where we're headed. A young man is innocently walking down Anystreet, USA in 1975. There are many passerby's, some men, some women, some younger, some older. Suddenly you realize your shoe is untied. You kneel down to tie it. You life goes on. You get educated, marry, work hard at your trade/career, raise a family, get involved in your community and make many life long friends along the way. There is no turbulence or upheaval in your life. Forty years later, some woman you have no recollection of ever knowing, claims she was walking down that same street, comes forward and swears you held a mirror out while you were tying your shoe to look up her skirt. There are no witnesses to this and no evidence of this whatsoever. No one has ever, in forty years, ever come forward with any sort of accusation whatsoever about your character or any alleged sexual misdoings. She calls Meghan Kelly. Your name and reputation and "alleged" misconduct is televised nationally. Suddenly, from outer space somewhere, other "victims" begin remembering alleged sexual overtures on your part. They also have never come forward with these accusations. They also can produce no evidence or witnesses. Your entire life breaks into many tiny pieces and the course of your existence is now changed forever. You lose your job, your wife leaves you and your children refuse to have anything to do with you. Sound crazy? You bet it does. But people, that's where we are headed. For those of you who are undoubtedly proven guilty of sexual harrassment and/or assault, you should be exposed and held accountable. But this other malarkey - what an incredible injustice. I'm truly getting sick and tired of the direction we are now taking.
