Not %100 sure about this, but in psych parliance ego is your conscious thoughts and superego is your unconscious thoughts.

But that's probably not how most people use the word "ego."

I think it's pretty much fultile to try to be "egoless," maybe stoicism or something like that.

Ego is what keeps feminism, racism, elitism, separatism and division seemingly alive. Ego would tell you we are on separate teams, and that what hurts me will help you. That you could actually get ahead by stepping on me.

You can't really go "egoless" and still have an identity. But it is an illusion. Ego is the dividing line between a block of ice and the water it floats in. Both are water, it's a perception.

Without ego, you are neither male nor female, so yes it avoids "temptation" in the sense that without ego, you recognize it all as your Self, and so, what are you tempted for? Yourself?

Not at all.

Everyone is egotistic for a good reason. If you have a good craft and someone demeans and slanders you, your ego will be hurt and you need to fight back. Only so you can maintain your reputation. Same with woman or temptation, only with the ego that "I am better than that and I know it better" you can overcome those. If you are so humble and passive, how can you resist others' bs?

I would stay away from such "cabin-in-the-woods" hermits' advice. They live lives without any threat, temptation, competition or excitement. It is easy to say a lot of "noble" things when you don't have to put up a fight and turn ugly.

This sub is wierd. Being a woman who is unlike most other women it's so frustration to be put in a box with them.

I'm a gamer, I smoke weed, I live by my own rules. I dont have girlfriends. I can't relate to most women.

But I guess that means shit because I have different chromosomes.

Are you talking about Id, ego, and super ego? If so, the Id is to blame for temptation and biological urges.
