Last week I posted about how upset I was that my ex invaded my dreams. She was making all these obnoxious demands of me. I was upset that my mind allowed her to invade my dreams because I chose to permanently kick her out of my life. I had a much different dream last night. We were living under an oppressive government that for some reason made both combination and key padlocks illegal, but Ace Frehley really needed at least two padlocks for some project he was working on. So I went to this baseball game and was sitting in the stands and some long-haired rocking looking guy was there. He wasn't Ace, but he said, "You meeting up with Ace?" I said that I was and then he very descreetly slipped two padlocks into my hand and said, "Tell Ace I said 'hey.'" So I watched the game and then I went to the concession stand to get a beer, which came in a clear plastic cup and taped to the bottom of the cup were directions to Ace Frehley's house.
So I went to his house, and I found this bizarre, elaborate house that looked like a castle and I hear this loud guitar blasting in side it. I rang the doorbell, but no one answered. Through the window, I could see Ace in there playing a bunch of leads, so I waved my arm back and forth and he finally came to the door. Soon as he answered, I said, "Padlocks, man." He put his finger up to his lips to signal "quiet" and motioned for me to come in. In his living room, I gave him the two packlocks and then his face lit up. "All right, man, this will do perfectly," he said. Then he unplugged his Les Paul from its amp and took out a Sharpie and autographed it and gave it to me.
Some of you were worried about me that last week I had to have a dream about my obnoxious cunt of an ex bickering at me. I wanted to have a better dream, and I got one. I grew up loving Kiss and especially Ace Frehley. I learned guitar by copying Ace Frehley guitar solos. He was a huge influence on my playing. I never found out in that dream what he needed those padlocks for in that dream, but, oh well. I'll take a dream about Ace Frehley over one about my ex any day.
