I remember that video lol. I personally think it was justice serviced on a platter and found it hilarious. A girl did the same to me and I should've reacted the same as the guy looking back on it now. If we don't stand up for ourselves they feel like princesses who can physically assault people without repurcussion. This needs to change and they have to understand that if they act like men they will be treated like men.

Regardless, you're allowed to have your opinion and as long as you are MGTOW I think it's an overreaction on their part. The reason I chose to frequent this sub over the OG MGTOW (mainly) is because it seems they're too quick to jump on anyone who isn't a hardcore MGTOW and ban them - even if they aren't bluepill. Seems like a dictatorship where anyone with a mildy deviating opinion is censored and punished.

No, I get shit on all the time. It doesnt bother me anymore. But it doesnt bother me. Know why? Because of my outlook.

The last woman I asked out on a date was a coworker (yes i know, stupid move, I was more evian back then). She flat out rejected me, and never...spoke...to...me...again. And working with mostly women, word spread of the dirty old man (I'm 42) trying to get in the 22 year olds panties. So they didnt really want to Interact with me either. We had all been cool before that. ....dirty ...old .. man....

What did I do? Grab her tits and invite her to a secluded stairwell in exchange for $40 and some weed...... no. I told her she had a nice genuine smile, and I'd like to get to know her a little bit outside of work over a couple cocktails and appetizers. I thought it was cool because we had been talking and seemed to have some things in common we liked. I was wrong.

It was months before things started to return to normal with the rest of the crew. But that one was aloof and didnt want to speak to me unless out of absolute necessity to the job. And I was fine with that, and returned the favor.

Now, why am I relaying this story? It is NOT so commenters down the line can say "what a bitch" or "insert dumb comment about womens nature and the 80/20 whatever"...

It's so i can better explain what the winning outlook is on being shit on. Now, I know I fucked up by asking out a co-worker, but I've made sure that mistake won't happen again. I learned from my mistake. But that's not the important subtlety I want you to pick up on outlook.

In my blue pill days, this would have been horrifyingly embarrassing to me. I would have shrunk into my shell, and internalized it as a horrible rejection and a reflection of my self worth. And my outward attitude would have telegraphed that feeling to everyone around me.

But my feelings about this incident, and THIS IS THE TAKEAWAY FROM IT (caps for emphasis not shouting):

When she rejected me the way she did, and acted the way she did. I was relieved. It was akin to sitting in a doctors office, having him come into the room, and saying "well Impossible-asset, we got your test results back, and you DON'T have cancer."

Think about it. I got to see what my reward would have been for taking her out for drinks and appetizers, and if things went well, gotten the sex and happy feels and then this part of her would eventually come out. I was spared that.

When people shit on you for how you look, (and, most people dont by the way, it has much more to do with the attitude you project from yourself than your looks, and you are 100% in control of your attitude and outlook), dont feel the least bit bad about it. Consider it a parting gift from them. They just saved you a load of time and energy. And you have that time and energy to now devote to yourself and improve yourself in any way you see fit.

Know what I did after that cute little Latina rejected me? I didnt hit the bar for cocktails and apps. I hit the gym, hard. Then I took the amount I would have spent on her and myself for a date and I dumped that straight into my TD Ameritrade account. What would have cost me money is making me money every month from dividends.

Sorry this got a little long winded. But I hope you can take away from this that it's your attitude and outlook that largely determine if you get shit on. Not just your looks. And if they are that shallow? Great, you dodged a bullet, you're lucky.

Thanks for the story, and I partially agree with you.

Yes, an easier outlook on life and the abilty to absorb shitstorms that eventually come your way is healthy and productive.

However, please remember that when you talk about people who are unable to do just that, they aren't just "unaware of things", the insight that helped me the most in understanding how humanity REALLY works is as following:

"Any human acts the best way possible for himself at every given moment."

Now, you might think to yourself "what a stupid sentence, there are many moments I don't do the best for myself".

But that's not what it means, as a fact, at any given moment, we exist in a specific state of mind, with a specific set of skills and a single-threaded knowledge database to work with.

Some of that is biology, some of that is our DNA structure, some are the fears that pile on every time we face hardships and some of that is the amount of coffee you drank waking up at that day...

We REALLY do act the best we can at any given moment.

I believe it's very easy to judge people based on actions we learned to be able to take, you are not even required to put yourself in another person's shoes to be able to understand.

Realize that everyone acts for the best of himself, with the knowledge that he has, and know that they can't do better, not at that singular moment.

But there you are, to teach, and to be taught.

Or not.

By and large I would agree. Humans instinctually react as best they are able to to a given situation. But that does not mean that those instincts cannot be overridden when a better outcome can be achieved by doing so.

I'm a perfect example. I would internalize rejections and denials as being "stomped on".

I had to consciously change my outlook on what was going on. I had to learn how to do it.

No different than playing a game of chess. You cant go into it seeing the best move three moves ahead. You have to learn it as a skill.

I dknt judge people for how they take something, but if I can show them an avenue that could help them break out of what becomes a destructive cycle, especially when it's based on my own experiences, then of course I'm going to do that.

Yes a lot of reactions are instinctual. But it is critical to be able to develop that thicker skin that let's you not be hurt by every arrow that gets thrown your way. If you dont. Then yeah, you'll end up depressed, angry, and lashing out.
