My friend who I have known for a good while does the following.

However before I ask my question a bit of disclosure:

I do not like her and have not done anything to indicate that I do.

We do not text that often as she goes to a different school. So like a good length convo every 6 months or so.

You might think how are we good friends if we don't talk a lot. I honestly don't know, I guess because we went to the same high school and college. I didn't even see her that often in college as well. Now she is at a different grad school.

Now for the details:

Often when she starts a new class, or like currently, is at a new college (for grad school) she brings up in her text how she has a classmate that reminds her of me. I ask what the dudes name is indirectly and I figure out what the guy looks like through Facebook. These guys end up looking nothing like be besides like the same hair and eye color and are usually ugly. The weird part for me though is that I get the opposite reaction from other women, in that, they think I am at least somewhat attractive. She knows this because she's heard it from the horses mouth or indirectly from being around them when we were at the same college. I'm asking for some TRP knowledge cause it's a blow to my self esteem and puts me in a shitty mind set. I'm wondering why she's doing this. This is like the fourth or fifth time she's done this since college. What should I do for her to stop? Should I just tell her I don't care and not to bring it up?

Hell I might be ugly or weird but I don't understand why such a trivial useless thing is brought up so often in our conversations in the past four years.

edit:

Thanks for the help everyone. It was a good needed wake up call on the situation.
