Well you're in the right place. It says right there in the sidebar: "No misogyny allowed." I would argue that demonizing women, while common among some MGTOW, is not an essential part of the movement, and so you're throwing the baby out with the bathwater here.

I don't think swearing off women is a good route to go down.

That may be true for you, and if so then by all means do what's right for you. However there are many reasons why MGTOW do this and their reasons may be different that yours, or valid for them even if they aren't for you. It seems like you're proclaiming the one right way to be based on your own limited perspective rather than understanding and acknowledging that MGTOW are a diverse group.

It's not as ridiculous as feminism. Something's happened in culture recently that's thrown a rock in the gears of the modern woman's mind.

Now women can be great. As a friend, sure yeah no problems. As a fuck buddy, no problems. It's when you combine the 2 that that shit gets fucked. pause. Relationships.

I hate to go back to the old "back in the caveman days" argument, but we are still theorizing on wtf is going on so I will.

Woman wants to get fucked by one guy and taken care of by another. She treats both of these guys differently. The friend vs the "asshole" boyfriend who doesn't give a shit about her. I haven't fully developed any theories here but it's a consistent observation.

We're just floating in a weird space where we're still primitive but we have access to all this technology and it's fucking with our monkey brains. How old is the Earth? We just developed the internet like 40, 50 years ago? I swear there MUST have been evolutionary cycles where other species have advanced far beyond us in the past. Not gonna go down that road either but it makes sense to me.

MGTOW involves educating men about female nature, most men are still ignorant of it. You can't just be MGTOW and have no good reason to be MGTOW. THE REASON to be MGTOW is female nature.

Feminism tries and succeeds in changing laws and making the world better or easier for women.

MGTOW doesn't. It's just men stepping back, taking a good hard look at what makes them happy, and making a decision. The common conclusion that most men who decide to think in the MGTOW sense is that a wife and kids is commonly a very frustrating and painful road to go down.

Feminism is an active movement of women and men who follow sets of rules and ways to live.

MGTOW is a passive way of thinking and is loosely held together by men who may have similar mindsets, but are free to do what they want in their own lives. It's not a movement in the sense of a rules based group, it's simply a label applied to people who thinking about the consequences of starting families, getting into relationships, and marriage.

It seems to me that you're of more of an MRA persuasion than MGTOW. An MRA would agree with just about everything you said. Or just an ordinary person without labels.

By all means do whatever you think is best. I'm just not entirely sure what it is about MGTOW that you identify with. The most generic sense of men doing what they want to do is something almost everybody would identify with.

After the anger fades, I am beginning to see MGTOW as a philosophy of resisting our animal imperatives to couple, mate, and assimilate. I don't hate women as much as our male reaction to them. MGTOW is a way of life that recognizes the natural truth of the world but understands that true fulfillment and peace stands outside the animal realm. Women have their own specific set of problems and I sympathize, even if I don't understand. But we can't save each other.

Totally agree with you. Not all women are mercantile bitches that either do not know what they want in life or they just do and that is to fuck as much guys as possible.

Of course there are the bitter ones that gut hurt(or even butthurt) by women, so now they even reject having a female partner anytime in their life. So basically dying with the dick in their hands. They should watch some Jordan Peterson on this account.

P.S. Not all who identify as MGTOW hate women and judge them all solely by the behavior of the worst representatives of their sex and certainly not all women are like that. Not all who identify as MGTOW are willing to die alone and never be in a marriage and having kids.

To start off with, MGTOW isn't a movement.

To me, MGTOW is just as ridiculous as feminism. Both "movements" seem to demonize people solely based on their gender.

I also think it's not good to demonise people, which is why I choose not to do so.

It seems to be a general consensus that MGTOW dislikes feminism.

I have no idea what anyone actually here thinks about feminism, nor do I particularly care. All I know is that the people here in /r/mgtow2/ and in /r/mgtow/ have chosen to follow a different path in life from what is considered the social norm and have decided this involves not being in a relationship with a woman due to the inherent dangers.

My suggestion is to not be like feminist and judge people based off the content of their character rather than what's between their legs.

I'm sorry, I'm not a gambling man. When I see that the odds are stacked up against me, I don't play the game to begin with, so I respectfully abstain.

My suggestion to MGTOW is to be the better movement (as opposed to feminism) and not label an entire gender.

My suggestion, since you're clearly SomeoneWithLogic, is to be a better person and not label an entire subreddit (or 2)

The idea of MGTOW doesn't demonize anything. It's literally just about not pursuing women and doing what you want.

But sadly, the vocal part of MGTOWs seems to be more interested in being "the meninism." The content you will see on popular MGTOW forums is mostly hypocrisy and logical fallacies.

OP got it wrong on many levels.

First off, MGTOW is not a 'movement' - it is a way of life.

Secondly, it does not hate women or feminism. It shuns women, shuns marriage or relationship, points out faults with feminism.

MGTOW is not against sex. But refuses to be a 'slave' to get sex. Mostly the system/society, government, law etc, binds man to do lot of stuff whether he likes it or not, it is like slavery.

MGTOW is against that slavery, MGTOW is all about freedom and choice. You live your own live on your own term.
