Idk, Ive heard we're a kinda hybrid where we pursue both longterm and short term mating strategies and that our long term strategy is more serial monogamy rather than lifelong pairing. Like wed be monogamous for around the amount of time it would take to raise an infant but then after that we become disillusioned with our partner and have the urge to swap to another. Some say the serial monogamy urge is stronger in women in that they have a much harder time being satisfied staying sexually exclusive to the same partner indefinitely.
