Hi all! I didn’t want any of this but now I’m fully out of the relationship I can see we didn’t have a future, we were just too different, our love was based on physical attraction and kids. I’m not divorced yet, things are now in motion, it’s been a long painful breakup, nearly 2 years, with lots of false hope from her, lots of back and forth, other people on both sides, and finally came to ahead in jan when she told me she had met someone else. I was obviously sad but also relived as I could now move on.

I never thought I ever say this but I am happy for her, I still hurt a bit but I know long term I will be ok. I’m starting to see the positives in all this, enjoying single life, my career has really taken off again now I can see how much she held me back, financially I struggle a bit but I know this will come right when I sell the house and can pay off some debt and again long term when I find the right person to spend the rest of my life with.

I have never felt so confident in my life!!

I will admit I’m slightly sad when I come home to an empty house, I don’t really miss her and the emotional abuse I’ve endured for years without realising is, obvs I miss the intimacy but I know I will get this again one day!

All I’m saying to you all, is hang in there, keep going, hold on to the positives, forget the negatives, it’s not all your fault, whatever she says!

I know I’m not 100%, I know I’m not ready just yet to move on, but I was in a pit, I never thought I would be happy ever again, I never thought I’d be able to love again, I contemplated suicide - don’t - YOU WILL BE OK!!!

Listen to Baz Luhrmann, everyone’s free to wear sunscreen - this song was around when I was at school, it meant a lot then, it’s my mantra now, the words mean so much more when you’ve learnt life’s lessons.

Take care everyone x
