I just wanted to post a happy update as I go through this process. After a lot of wasted time during quarantine and being overwhelmed by the paperwork needed, I finally took the step to get the stuff signed. I met with a paralegal a few weeks back for assistance with the forms and as of today I’ve officially signed my set of docs. As soon as the STBX signs hers, it gets e-filed with the courts! If I’m lucky, the paralegal says it could be just a matter of weeks until the paperwork is finalized and the 6-month waiting period for finalization starts.

I just wanted to let you guys know that there are ups and downs during this time and at times you’re going to be lost and confused. Don’t be afraid to ask for help or support if you need it. Things get better, and I’m praying you all find peace and comfort in your situations.
