My story:
I'm 36, my (soon to be ex is 35), we have a daughter who is 7 and a step son who is 13. We decided last August to eventually get divorced. We co-parented as much as we could, talked to our kids about what was going on. She moved out in Feb of this year (with a guy, former felon with a long rap sheet), with neither kids. I watched over both, got them to school, babysitters, etc. She saw them 3 times (overnights).
We live in Indiana, so school stopped in the middle of March. My stepson moved in with his dad. Ex moved again at the end of April in with a new guy (also long rap sheet, 5 OWI's and 4 domestic battery). I filed on May 1st (un-contested divorce, no lawyers), she signed paperwork, we agreed to splitting the house, we put down on the paperwork that we separated on April 1st (her idea, not mine) and I put down that I want custody.
We're waiting for the office where we have to do the parenting class is held opens back up, they open the week of July 6th.
Just today she texted me that she wants me to sell the house now, before going to court and told me she thinks she should just move back here and take care of selling the house herself, because I don't want to.
After the classes are done, I have to write to the judge, applying for our final hearing. What all can I include in this letter? I want full custody, but don't want to keep the house.
Just looking to see what I'm facing when we go to see the judge.
