I've started reading "Cupid's Poisoned Arrow", and a lot of things suddenly start clicking: personal experience, religious texts, tao-based erotic massages, orbiting... they all hint to something very interesting.

The short version is that orgasm-oriented sex is designed by evolution with a built-in relationship expiration time of around 3-4 years - long enough to insure an infant survives the critical period, but long enough so that the next child is conceived with somebody else, thus ensuring maximum genetic diversity. Of course, what's good for our genes is not good for us - usually we'd prefer a long, successful relationship, especially when children are involved. But that's not the first nor the last case of selfish genes...

What does this have to do with red pill? RP advocates certain types of interactions with women, especially in bed. "Fuck her silly" is a fair description. The DEVI method is more nuanced, and I think fundamentally compatible with karezza. But everything is still impregnated with a sense of defeatism - "she's not yours, it's just your turn", AWALT etc. Meanwhile I think about the average orbiting neckbeard and his relationship with the local hottie. He doesn't get sex (or self-respect), but he does get a level of intimacy I'm honestly envious of.

My first instinct is to simply say it's a lie. I could wish to believe again, to be re-plugged, to trust the lie, but I can't - so it's simply the harsh light of truth that's hurting my never-used eyes. And then comes this, and I can't get it out of my head:

"The embrace that incarnates the hidden union is not only a reality of the flesh, for there is silence in this embrace. It does not arise from impulse or desire; it is an act of will."

The key words here are silence and will. The silence, I think, is the absence of instincts. No more mindless grunting of beasts in heat - but maybe, also no more hypergamy or dread. The will, I think, is what replaces the instincts.

Am I onto something here? Or am I just being an idiot?
