Article says about 5000 girls "effected" per year in the UK. About 30,000 boys get circumcised in the UK a year.

Home Office minister Victoria Atkins on Tuesday, show that “total domestic government spend” on tackling FGM in the UK was still as high as £1.8m to April 2019 before falling sharply.

And a year later we hear about the epidemic of FGM perpetrated in the UK ... There has been a huge percentage increase in the 2016/2017 year compared to the 2015/2016 year! ... We need more funding! ... Except a couple news sources came out with some raw number details. Kinda sad when the dailymail is one of the few reporting the facts...

It's because it's common practice with jews and muslims. But say that out loud and oy vey you're an antisemite. That's why no politician will ever touch on that subject.

I don't care. No circumcision of babies should take place in any civilized country. It's literally covered by the right to be free of bodily harm.

If they still want at the age of 18, fine whatever.

It’s terrible that circumcision is still a thing. Unfortunately, it’s due to very patriarchal religious practices like Christianity. Each human should have a right to their own body, and we should especially protect children from having to go through this.
