I mean
My heart gets broken And I have to hide the tears
One of my best friends betrays me And I have to act like I don’t care
If I don’t do something dangerous Then I’m a pussy but If I do I’m crazy
When I feel depressed I’m told to man up and threatened
My teachers pile on homework And act surprised when I forget
A stutter I don’t even really have Is joked about
And when you really find a good friend They move
And they really wonder why suicide is so common in young men

I'm tired of people calling misandry "toxic masculinity" but misogyny misogyny.

Yep, it's all about control over language. Control the language, and you will win every debate. It's like trying to play a 1v1 game against someone, but before you even begin the game, they get to define all the rules, such as "heads I win, tails you lose."
These people know what they are doing. Things which hurt women? Label them as such, and typically with the implication that men are the bad guys. Things which hurt men? If you have to acknowledge them, do it with a term which makes it sound like men are the bad guys rather than the victims.
Boom, language controlled, and it's easy to get people on the side of women, angry at men, even when discussing issues where men are the victims.

The older ya get, the less you care about the opinion of others (or, society for that matter). In that sense, I can say it gets better.

Yeah I mean I feel like that’s part of the problem because if more people did care more things would change BUT you’ve gotta be super human to actually have the brain power to care about alll this shit from gaslighting to bad faith arguments.
I’m in my early 20s and I support men’s rights but by god am i close to checking out completely.

I’m pushin 50, young bruh. I don’t blame you one bit for wanting to check out of the madness. It’ll truly drive you mad if you let it occupy your headspace long enough.
But, you do have a solid point: if MRA’s from all walks of life were more outspoken, cohesive and united in our unwavering message, maybe we could enact change. But, regardless of the cause, changes take time.
For our own mental health, it’s important to find your own way and some balance. Best wishes, bruh!
