I actually think this is pretty tragic and shitty. Obviously she was an idiot to do this sort of thing, but lonely people (man, woman or any variation thereupon) fall victim to this sort of shit all the time. This is the result of a gullible lonely person and it happens to people across the gender spectrum. Wherever there’s a mark, there’s a scammer’s market. My late uncle fell to a similar sort of thing with a Chinese woman in his elder years and he was otherwise a razor sharp intelligent man.

Let’s not pretend. This woman was clearly emotionally and psychologically vulnerable and unstable to believe this bullshit. Her fault perhaps but this man was clearly a criminal scammer.
